Cherkizovo Group opened new Trading House in UfaCherkizovo Group, one of Russia's leading integrated and diversified meat producers, is pleased to announce today the opening of a new Trading House in Ufa city, Russian Federation. This facility will enable the Compаny to strengthen its position in Bashkortostan, one of the richest meat-producing regions in Russia. This project is in line with the Group's strategy to expand its network of regional Trading Houses.
Bashkortostan is one of few leading republics which has managed to preserve the healthy and large cattle stock from the Soviet era. Ulyanovsky and Penzensky meat-processing plants, belonging to Cherkizovo Group, use the best raw materials of Bashkortostan to produce the goods of the best quality while employing the latest technologies and modern equipment meeting European standards, which provides significant advantage over local producers.
Until recently Cherkizovo Group products have been sold in the region through local distributors. The new facility will improve customer service.
Igor Babaev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cherkizovo Group comments:"The absence of meat-processing enterprises in the region, without modern equipment and technology, made us consider the opening of a Trading House in Ufa. This step gives us the chance to close the chain of our own production and sale network in Bashkortostan and deliver to the counters fresh and high-quality meat products."
The Trading House's operations will include a fleet of modern refrigerators which will allow the Company to deliver fresh chilled products to any location within a radius of 500 km. within 24 hours. The Trading House is equipped with high quality Western machinery imported from Germany and meets the European standards on raw materials storage. Both freezing and chilling refrigerators are installed in the Trading House. A staff of well-qualified managers has been assembled to provide the retail and wholesale service, and most of the employees have been trained on probation in Moscow enterprises of Cherkizovo Group. Ilshat Karimov, native of Uchaly city of the Bashkir Republic, has been appointed Director of the Trading House.

The opening ceremony of the new Cherkizovo Group Trading House took place in Ufa today. Shainurov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cherkizovo Group Igor Babaev, Director of Penza Meat-processing Plant Rashid Khairov, Head of "Petelino" Trading House Larisa Markovskaya.
