Cherkizovo Group announced several internal moves and appointments within the its management. Moscow, 7 February 2006 – Cherkizovo Group, one of Russia’s largest vertically integrated agro-industrial companies announced today several internal moves and appointments within the its management. The new appointments were prompted by the Group’s desire to complete the formation of the Group’s Management Team.
Sergei Mikhailov has been appointed CEO of the Group. Sergei Mikhailov has a degree from Georgetown University (Washington) and had worked for such companies as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. He has been with the Group since 2001 in various managerial functions.
Dmitri Pankratov, who had previously served as Executive Director of Prodo, has been appointed the Group’s COO.
Ludmila Mikhailova has been appointed CFO of the Group. She is an MBA graduate from York University, Schulich School of Business (Canada) and had worked for such companies as General Mills Corporation Canada (Toronto), McFarlane Gordon Inc (Toronto) and ING Barings (London). She has served as Financial Director for Cherkizovsky Agro-Industrial Group (Moscow) since 2004.
Naum Babaev has been appointed as a Group’s Strategy and Business Development Director. He has been with the Group since 1996. His last position – Deputy CEO at Mikhailovsky Agro-Industrial Group, where he was in charge of corporate and business development since 2001. By 2006 Mikhailovsky AIG consisted of 5 poultry factories, 4 pig farms, 1 poultry processing plant.
Gennady Frolov, previously a PR/IR Director of Amtel Vredestein has been appointed as PR Director of the Group.
Yuri Diachuk has been appointed to head the Group’s legal department. He obtained a Legal Degree from Moscow Legal Academy and has an extensive experience in the field.
