CHERKIZOVO GROUP OJSC ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF THE NEW ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN FOR ITS PETELINKA BRAND

Moscow, Russia – April 29, 2009 – Cherkizovo Group OJSC (LSE: CHE) announces the launch of a new advertising campaign for their Petelinka brand – the largest producer of chilled poultry meat in the Moscow region.

This large-scale advertising campaign will highlight the competitive advantages of Petelinka as the best chilled poultry product on the market.

The creative theme behind the campaign was inspired by the premium qualities of the Petelinka brand.  The campaign follows the journey from farm to fork of the chickens produced by the Petelinskaya poultry farm. The chickens live a full and happy life in the best available conditions; enjoying natural, healthy feed, clear water and plenty of fresh air. These conditions make Petelinka chicken famous - producing organic, natural and tasty chicken products for our customers.

The campaign includes a series of 30 and 15 second commercials that will be aired on the main federal television channels. Three different advertisements featuring Russian celebrities have been produced:

1. Dubbed by Ksenya Sobchak, this commercial draws attention to the premier Petelinka poultry range
2. Dubbed by Tina Kandelaki, this commercial focuses on the superior conditions at the Petelinskaya poultry farm, which produce healthy, tasty chicken 
3. Dubbed by Sergey Zverev, this commercial focuses on a Petelinka chicken, and what makes it so desirable from first sight

The advertising campaign, which focuses on Moscow and the Moscow region, also extends to outdoor billboards, transport banners and additional media support.

The slogan “«Petelinka». Happy chicken!” is designed to appeal to its target audience of modern women in the Moscow region, who lead an active lifestyle and shop regularly.
