CHERKIZOVO’S PRODUCTS ARE AWARDED WITH 12 GOLD MEDALS FOR QUALITY Moscow, Russia – May 21, 2009 – Cherkizovo OJSC (LSE: CHE), one of Russia’s leading integrated and diversified meat producers, is pleased to announce that it has recently won several gold awards for its high quality products.
Cherkizovo was awarded with 12 gold awards for quality at the recent “All-Russian brand (III millennium). Quality Mark of the 21st Century” exhibition. This is the 21st consecutive year that this annual contest, which is supported by the Government of the Russian Federation and the Moscow regional authority, has been held. This year about 1000 companies from 70 regions of Russia and 6 CIS countries took part in the contest.
The following products of Cherkizovsky Meat Processing Plant were given “Golden Quality Mark” awards:
• Cooked sausages: Diet sausage made from chicken breast and Doktorskaya GOST.
• Hot-dogs and frankfurters: Hot-dogs Kremlevskie and Fileynie Kurinie, frankfurters Teliachyi and Nezhnie, made from chicken fillet.
• Meat delicatessen: Myasnoy Orekh from chicken fillet, Balyk from chicken fillet
• Cooked-smoked sausages: Imperskaya
• Hams: Fileinaya from chicken fillet
• Raw-smoked sausages: Prosciutto
• Ready-to-cook meat products: Ready-to-cook Pork Natural Meat With Bone
